The Fort Worth Business Assistance Center, Founding Sponsors Capital One Bank and The Alternative Board are proud to announce the third annual Fort Worth Business Plan Competition.
Twenty-five participants will have the chance to compete for awards, cash prizes, and business services from sponsors, valued at more than $50,000!

Application to Fort Worth Business Plan Competition
Applications are due by midnight July 1, 2013 for consideration into the competition. Twenty-five businesses will be accepted into the competition based on the judging of applications. There is a $25.00 non-refundable application fee due at the time of submission. Late applications will not be accepted. NOTE: No prior business plan needed to apply or compete.
Eligibility:
Applicants must fit the following eligibility criteria:
- Be a business based or headquartered in Tarrant County
- Annual revenue up to $500,000
- At least 6 months in operations
Prior BAC clients (prior to May 20, 2013), regardless of geographic location, that meet all other eligibility criteria may also apply.
Ineligible applicants:
- Past Winners and Finalists
- City of Fort Worth employees
If chosen as a participant in the competition, you will be asked to verify eligibility.
Schedule:
Preliminary Round (25 compete)
July 12 – September 20
- Two group training sessions
- Networking with participants
- Feedback from judges
- Counseling with FWBPC partners
Finals Round (3 compete)
October 4 – 24
- Mentor and MBA Coach assigned to each finalist
- Guaranteed prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
- Feedback from judges
- Finalist present at awards event
The application process concludes on July 1st at midnight. The competition consists of two rounds of judging, preliminaries and finals. Twenty-five will be selected to compete in the first round. Three finalists will advance to the final round.
Applications only take a short time to complete. Don’t miss the opportunity to compete and identify ways to improve your business in this process. The Finals competition and presentations will be held on October 24, 2013 at Texas Christian University.
